Danger-Mine-Sign

Alpha Geoscience has been involved in undertaking geophysical surveys for Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and Mine Clearance with surveys being undertaken in Australia, South East Asia, USA, Europe and other parts of the world over the last 12 years.

Alpha Geoscience has been appointed to the Australian Government Defence Unexploded Ordnance Panel (DUXOP) as a consultant and geophysicial contractor.  Alpha can assist in the planning, implimentation and management of any UXO projects.

The geophysical works included:

  • Total Field Magnetic Surveys using caesium vapour magnetometer sensors, high sampling for the location of small discrete targets and larger deeper targets in the sub-surface.
  • Electro-magnetics surveying using the Geonics EM61 Deep Metal Detectors for the location of small discrete targets in the subsurface.
  • Electro-magnetics surveying using the Dualem Ground Conductivity System for wide areal coverage to locate burial pits and larger items.

Alpha Geoscience can use DGPS for both data acquisition and relocation of the targets or work on controlled grids.

Alpha Geoscience has worked with all the Australian UXO / EOD companies in the past as well as environmental consultants and contractors.
