ABEM has been in business since 1923 and is one of the leading manufacturers in the world of geophysical instruments with particular emphasis on ground resistivity systems. 

ABEM Terrameter LS

A completely new concept of geo-electrical equipment.  The instrument lets you check your data on site in the field thanks to a large, 213 mm. (8.4 inch), colour screen that is extremely visible in daylight.  You can plot your pseudo-sections as you go.  Further to that, the instrument handles up to 12 input channels for highest possible flexibility and productivity for both 2, 3 and 4 D measurements.  Terrameter LS has two more channels dedicated to QC of the instrument performance.  Full waveform records are stored to allow for an unmatched potential of post-processing possibilities.

SAS LOG

The SAS LOG accessory connects to Terrameter SAS 1000 or 4000 and converts it to a logging system for resistivity and IP in a water filled borehole.  In addition to that, it also measures the temperature and SP as well as gives an indication of when the water level is reached. 

The log cable has fixed electrodes and at the bottom end a sonde with the sensors for the other parameters.  The cable is marked in one metre increments, is lowered manually into the hole step by step.  Readings are taken at each step by activating the measure knob of the Terrameter.  Data is stored in the memory of the Terrameter for subsequent processing and plotting in a computer with suitable software like for example LogPlot from Rockware.
